Last week was a busy one, filled with learning, adventures, and fun! Here is a look at the week ahead!
Wednesday, April 18- Book Fair Friday, April 20 - Half Day-SPIRIT WEAR DAY Monday, May 7 - 2nd Grade Music Concert Thursday, May 24 - Last Day of School This week: Spalding- Your scholar will have 30 new words this week. All spelling words are to be written in cursive each night. Please have your scholar write their words in their best Spalding cursive. Markings need to be done on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday you should dictate all 30 words to your scholar. Markings are not required on Thursday, but words must be written in cursive. ****If your child is misspelling a word, please mark it wrong and have them correct it on their homework. Math- We will start our unit on TIME. Students will learn to tell time after the hour and before the hour. We will focus on using clocks in our math groups so that each student can practice move the hands around the clock to show time. There will be no quiz this week. History- We will continue to study the Civil War. Focusing on the abolitionists and what happened after the war. There will be a unit test on Thursday. Friday we will start our unit on immigration. Literature- We will complete The Magician's Nephew. The students have enjoyed this book and the adventures of Digory and Polly. Please let me know if you have any questions! Mrs. Bejarano
